ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING<br />
6 July 2010<br />
Salvation Army Hall, Kennedy St., Castlemaine 3450</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was opened by Vice President Trevor Westlake at 7:45pm.</p>
<p>The Vice President welcomed members and announced apologies from the President, Rod Marchant, Trish Sharkey, Marion Williams, David &amp; Sue Ratcliff and Therese Pollard.</p>
<p>The Vice President delivered the President&#8217;s Report:</p>
<blockquote><p>President&#8217;s Report</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sorry that I am unable to be with you tonight, I am at Casino in NSW, a cold and not so sunny Casino.</p>
<p>Once again the AGM is upon us and we face the usual problem of getting volunteers for the committee, this year we particularly need a Treasurer and Secretary as I&#8217;m sure you have been told.</p>
<p>Membership is down this year, once again some members from the previous year do not return.</p>
<p>After the roll up to first meeting of the year I had hopes that membership would be larger. So far the meetings have been interesting if not well attended although some members find self judging to be a trial. This is an issue that the committee will try to address later in the year.</p>
<p>Competitions seem to be holding up and the standard of photography and presentation continues to improve, again there are members who do not, or no longer enter the competitions.</p>
<p>The outing to Melville Caves was poorly attended, the only mug that went was me. Perhaps weekend outings are not the way to go.</p>
<p>One of the difficulties of being President is knowing what it is that members want, if there is something you want that we are not doing please let me or the committee know. PLEASE.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Vice President advised that copies of the Minutes of the previous AGM and Ordinary Committee Meetings, plus Financial Statement and Register of Members were available for inspection, and that copies would be posted or emailed to any Member upon request.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Vice President called for the Minutes of the previous AGM and Ordinary Committee Meetings to be accepted:</span></p>

Carried.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Vice President called upon the Treasurer to present the Financial Report.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Treasurer B. Acklom presented the Financial Report in accordance with the requirements of the Associations Incorporation Act.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Treasurer called for the Report to be accepted:</span></p>

SECONDED:	A. Williams<br />
Carried</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Election of Office Bearers and Committee, 2010-2011:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Vice President handed the Meeting over to the Chairman Mr. Alan Williams.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Chairman announced the Positions to be filled:</span></p>

Treasurer		One Position<br />
Committee		Two Positions</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Chairman read details of written Official Nominations received by the Club as of 30 June 2010:</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">As only one Official Nomination for the position of President was received by the due date, the Chairman declared Rodney Marchant to be elected President.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Chairman then called for nominations from the floor for all other positions.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Chairman declared the positions as detailed to be filled, and handed the meeting to the Vice President.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The Vice President thanked all Members for attending the Annual General Meeting.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">There being no further business, the meeting closed at 8:25pm</span></p>
